The way that you perceive yourself plays an important role in defining how you will accomplish your dreams. For example, people think that I have no fears or doubts and that I have never failed at anything in my life. This is not the case. Once in a while fear creeps in and I quickly sweep it out. These moments of fear are really the enemy trying to rent space in our heads. We must maintain a zeal for success and be consistent in pursuing our dreams.

Each of us is someone important to this world. I feel no conceit when I look in the mirror and remind myself “I am a KING and as a KING, I won’t settle for mediocrity.” You must say to yourself, “I am a Queen, or I am King and I will not give up! My situation is not going to determine my future.” You must Go into all situations confident that you will be victorious in the end. Believe that whatever you put your mind to will manifest.

Your Perception

When I look in the mirror I see an ambitious lion. What do you see?

Think only of winning. Never think of losing or not having enough. If you pay attention to the world around you, you will see that some people give up too easily. A few Sundays ago, a childhood friend of mine invited me to play kick ball with her family. I gathered a few relatives (who were excited to join in on the fun). As I approached the park (only a few blocks away), she called me to say that they had cancelled the game because it seemed as if it was going to rain. It didn’t rain for another two hours. She had given up on the event too easily. This was just another example of how she had given up on many other things in her life in the same way. Her perception of life is that if it can go wrong it will go wrong, so why try. It is simply better to quit whenever things get a little difficult.

Do you have any friends or family members like that?

This is not the way life should be for anyone. We should expect that there will be hurdles on our path to success. Anything worth having is worth fighting to achieve. Be consumed with winning, in search of victory, and expect success!!
