The Underrepresentation and Underappreciation of Haitian Queens
From the inception of the exploitation by the Spaniards to the colonial plantocracy and the current neocolonialism, the underrepresentation of Haitian women has been the true malediction of the island. My objective is to display how Haitian women and sexual minorities are subjected to sexual violence, emotional trauma, and both political and economic exploitation—diminishing the country’s sovereignty. I’ll explain how Haiti’s fate is intertwined with her ability to remove its chokehold from its own neck, blocking the most powerful force—divine African feminine energy.

My presentation AMBIGUITIES & ENGAGEMENTS: HISTORICAL QUEENS AND LITERARY PROTAGONISTS/ AMBIGUÏTÉS ET ENGAGEMENTS : REINES HISTORIQUES ET PROTAGONISTES LITTÉRAIRES PANEL IN ENGLISH AND FRENCH LANGUAGE in room /building X06 entails qualitative research from a panoply of literature, films, and interviews. From 1492 to the 1915 United States Occupation’s racist marines wrote shocking testimonies about their harrowing acts of sexual and physical violence to their “tropical servants,” which forced the creation of one of the first feminist movements in 1934: Feminine League for Social Action to the 2000s new generation pushing for equality. Surprisingly, the Duvalier’s era of terror gave elevation to a few pitiless women. The 1990s foreign intervention and paramilitary groups main intimidation tactics were disappearances and rape as political weapons to oppress women’s potential in civics and the underdeveloped educational system. The current ensekirite is a microcosm of the extended living nightmare with gangs at the helm attacking black queens who represent their birth mothers, leaving the innocent landlocked in a state of weltschmerz.
In conclusion, once Haitian women are held in high reverence is when Haiti will rise to take its place on the world’s throne. I’m King Kevin Dorival, author of “America’s & France’s 1,000 Year War Against #Haiti (Ayiti): The Assassination of a Nation.” ???????????????? See you in New York!
