From Paradise to Godless Nation: Haiti part 1 of 3
When I was in high school back in 1999, the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) teacher showed us a picture of a nearby island and resort. He asked us to guess which island it was.
Everyone said, “Hawaii, Jamaican, or Bahamas.”
“You’re all wrong. This is Haiti back in 1982. It was a paradise back in its glory days.”
As of the 25th of December 2023, Haiti is on the verge of brink of destruction. It has no active government, no judges, no formidable police force, and no elections, but it does have plenty of gangs running rampant throughout the country. The 200 plus gangs are terrorizing the citizens who are in a hopeless situation, keeping their fingers crossed that they don’t get shot or kidnapped. There is no love, no development, and no rule of law in the capital—Godless. Haiti was starved sanctions and embargoes, and then Bill Clinton, along with the CORE Group made sure Haiti had no way of feed itself.
One may ask, “How did Haiti come to such a deteriorated state?” It was the first independent black republic in the world, the first and only country to be formed by former slaves by overthrowing their slave masters in 1804 after a bloody thirteen-year war against France, Spain, and Britain. It has the second constitution written in the Western hemisphere (the United States was first) and the only official country that helped South America emancipate itself from Spain’s slave shackles. Eventually in 1825, the French slaveholders got payback by forcing Haiti to pay $150 million gold francs (later reduced to $90 million) to be recognized as an independent nation; this debt was paid after 122 years of paying exorbitantly high interest rates in 1947. Goods from Haiti comprised thirty percent of French colonial trade while its sugar represented forty percent of the Atlantic market.[13] About sixty percent of the coffee consumed in European markets was also produced in the colony.
Did I mention that there isn’t a president in the palace? Jovenel Moïse, 53, was the 43rd president of the battle proven nation, established sinced the early 19th century. He was assassinated in the middle of the night on July 7, 2021, in his private villa away from the palace grounds. He was shot by Colombian mercenaries, who came in shouting DEA before the president’s security guards stood aside eating hotdogs, fully armed but stood aside, quiet as a church mouse while the head of state was being tortured in his room with his wife, who played dead (shot once in the arm). The president was shot twelve times and had bullet wounds to his forehead and several to his torso. His left eye had been gouged out and bones in his arm and in his ankle had been broken. Obliviously an inside job. This was the type of action seen many times by the Columbian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar.
Knowing enough about his $30 billion (equivalent to $70 billion as of 2022) cocaine enterprise I had a hunch. Guess what? Pablo’s bloody cash are all over Haiti, especially amongst the old dictators and paramilitary of the old army back in the 1980s, Lieutenant General Raoul Cedras, Philippe Biamby, Guy Phillippe (deported from a U.S. prison to Haiti in November 30, 2023), and Emmanuel “Toto” Constant (deported from a U.S. prison to Haiti in June 2020). Constant is one of the leaders of the Front for the Advancement and Progress of Haiti, known as FRAPH, aka Death Terrorist Squad, a group that used rape as a mode of torture, mutilations such as facial scalpings, and murder of 3,000 Haitians that were dedicated to Aristide’s Fanmi Lavalas political group. Their group was to crush any opposition to Haiti’s military regime; FRAPH was created as part of the international community’s undermining campaign against then president Jean-Bertrand Aristide’s government. In closing, I’d be remised if I didn’t mention that Mr. Constant, was accused of rape and murder, amongst other things, in Haiti. The US Govt. refused to extradite him to Haiti, possibly because he knew too much highly classified information. He stood trial in New York for mortgage fraud and grand larceny in 2007. Now, if the aforementioned were true,
“How does such a low-life, high profile criminal gets to live a double life in the big apple as a real estate agent?” I presume the same way Nazi criminals such as Jakiw Palij, amongst thousands of other known Nazis fugitives settled comfortably in the USA. There are some interesting comparisons between the Nazis, American Marines and Haitian terrorists in my book, America’s & France’s 1,000 Year War Against Haiti (Ayiti): The Assassination of a Nation, will turn a lot of heads. I’d appreciate your support by purchasing my book(s).
