Full Bio

King Kevin Dorival is an entrepreneur, four-time author, mentor, inspirational speaker, and is considered an up and coming change-agent. He founded the Courage To Believe International, Inc., a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, where he serves as President. A group of mentors assists him to host the C2B Chess Club & Mentoring Program and the Annual Black On Black Crime Solutions Panel (2014-2020). God has blessed him with the ability to motivate people in an unbelievably dynamic fashion all over to world, from Haiti to the United Kingdom. He has developed a keen awareness for the community, and has worked with numerous schools, churches, universities, and local organizations throughout Florida, the Caribbean,, and in London to reduce the school to prison pipeline. Today, Atlanta is his new home where he has expanded his empire and to find lifelong treasure of a great wife.

His life story is riddled with drugs, crime, incarceration, and failures. All of which, he miraculously was able to turnaround and defeated the odds by placing God first and keeping his eyes on the prize and words in the future.

God Willing, he will help hundreds of thousands avoid the traps of the criminal justice system. In 2013 he released an inspirational autobiography and stage play, The Courage To Believe: Never Give Up, where he shares the importance of overcoming adversities in life while pursuing your dreams: S.B.E. Speak it. Believe it. Execute The Plan!

As of 2023, he has completed his first film, a documentary titled after the book, stage play. His best seller is the nonfiction book, 7 Types of Queens, Kings Desire, which is a compare and contrast of ancient queens with women of today. He is also a graduate of Florida Atlantic University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science and minor in marketing in 2005. In his downtime, he enjoys family time, volunteering in urban communities, reading stories of historical African leaders especially those of antiquity. He seeks a sponsorship from those that are blessed and, in a position, to fund this pioneer’s vision. Check his resume—King Kevin Dorival is the real deal.

Sun Sentinel: “After 20 Years, Teacher Gets A Thank You To Remember”

By Karen Yi, Sun Sentinel

6:36 p.m. EST, January 4, 2013

Kevin Dorival, 32, sat before his fifth grade teacher on Friday and handed her one final writing assignment – his first published book – and the biggest thank you a teacher could ask for.

It was the first time in more than 20 years that Sonji Wyche saw her student since he graduated from Park Ridge Elementary School in Deerfield Beach in 1992. But he said her lessons still inspire him, and he thanks her for that in his autobiography, “The Courage to Believe.”

“I’m elated that he thought of me. He didn’t have to remember me,” Wyche, 48, said. “I’ve been thanked before but not this big … I’m honored.”

Dorival said he found Wyche through Facebook. The pair decided to meet on Friday, before Dorival honors her during his book signing Saturday at 2 p.m. at the African-American Research Library in Fort Lauderdale.

Dorival, a mentor and inspirational speaker, “was always an ‘I can’ and ‘I will’ kid, a very hard worker … he hasn’t changed,” said Wyche, who now teaches at Parkway Middle School in Lauderhill. “Still looks the same, the same smile. He’s just taller, but he’s still shy.” Click, here to read more
